200: The Occultic Roots of #BLM—Abraham Hamilton III

The Occultic Roots of #BLM—Abraham Hamilton III

It is no longer a secret that Black Lives Matter was founded by trained Marxists. It’s way worse than that.

It’s “inspired” by necromancy, otherwise known as witchcraft. One of the BLM foundresses, Patrice Cullors, bragged about talking to the souls of the dead to launch their Marxist movement.

Not Samantha from TVs Bewitched witchcraft. The real thing.

Abraham Hamilton II made the truth widely know. Abe is a popular radio host, author, attorney, and general counsel for the American Family Association. And as a serious Christian in America who happens to be black (or, as he says, “melanated”) he has unique insights into the underlying motives of certain movements, like Black Lives Matter, that purport to speak for all blacks.

Co-foundress of BLM, Patrice Cullors, has admitted that she and her fellow trained Marxists literally summon the spirits of the dead to help them achieve their goals. Can you say, recipe for total disaster? It does explain a lot.

In this episode you will learn

  • How the host’s family tree was dramatically changed when his parents found Christ
  • The social context for the rise of BLM
  • Why BLM has nothing to do with the drive toward racial equality
  • What Cullors means by “BLM is not just a hashtag.”
  • Why this culture war battle is not merely natural but supernatural
  • The overlap of aims between AntiFa and BLM, and the sponsoring role of George Soror of both

Do Catholics Really Need Voting Guides?

Do Catholics Really Need Voting Guides?

A few months before a federal election, Catholic publishers, media figures, and the United States Conference of Catholic Bishops put out reminders and sometimes books and PDFs on the theme of Catholics and voting.

The problem is their advice tends to be very weak, and very vague, spectacularly nonspecific…afraid to describe things as they really are…afraid to quote what the candidates have publicly said they will do if elected…and afraid to quote from the websites of the political party’s platform. The question is, what are they afraid of?

TOPICS COVERED

  • The main taproot here seems to be nervousness about a little thing called the Johnson Amendment, which was passed by Congress in 1954.
  • The Johnson Amendment might be used as a cudgel to keep pastors and Catholic Apostolates in perpetual zip the lip mode regarding specific politicians and policies, but nowhere does it claim to supersede the First Amendment.
  • Adverse actions against nonprofit organizations is quite rare.
  • But not only rare, but they are also lopsided in their application.
  • A first step was taken on May 4th, 2017 when the president signed an executive order that directs the executive branch to limit its enforcement of the Johnson Amendment that, on paper, prohibits tax-exempt organizations from engaging in “political campaign activities.” So once again, President Trump is guilty….of doing what he said he would do.
  • Why can’t pastors and Bishops invite candidates to speak in Catholic parishes about their platforms and encourage people to vote?
  • The explicit promises that are made through their empty suit and elder abuse victim Joe Biden are vehemently opposed to every non-negotiable Catholic moral principle—from the destruction of innocent unborn human life to the redefinition of marriage to euthanasia, etc.
  • On the other hand, the Protestant Donald Trump announced during the National Catholic Prayer Breakfast this week, that he would sign the Born Alive Executive Order to “ensure that all precious babies born alive, no matter their circumstances, receive the medical care that they deserve. This is our sacrosanct moral duty.” He also announced increased funding for neonatal care.
  • President Trump supports this kind of thing,  Joe Biden opposes this kind of thing.
  • Whether to permit or prohibit the killing of a baby — that’s as primal and fundamental as it gets.
  • Do you know who was the first politician to fall back on the “personally opposed but” slogan? Pontius Pilate.
  • Pilate knew Christ was innocent,  but he handed him over to be crucified.

#199: Clear Preaching For a Confused Church—Father James Altman

#199: Clear Preaching For a Confused Church—Father James Altman

May 12, 2020, was a Tuesday. That was the day Father Jim Altman of the Diocese of La Crosse, WI, took the gloves off, in a manner of speaking. The lockdown was “locked-in” and Father Altman had had enough. He began streaming his Masses from St. James the Less church, and the priests’ homilies reflected a man impelled by the Holy Spirit: preaching the lordship of Jesus, calling out Church corruption, naming names (including names of liberal activist priests like James Martin, SJ, and Washington DC Archbishop Wilton Gregory.)

Truth starved Catholics quickly took notice, and Father Altman’s homilies became almost required viewing through the spring and summer of 2020.
Then he did it. On August 30, 2020, he delivered a stemwinder of a sermon on YouTube (not from his parish church), titled You Cannot Be Catholic & a Democrat. Period.” It went more viral than his already popular videos. And, not shockingly, his bishop, William Callaghan, issued a Statement rebuking the messenger, although he seemed also to agree with the truth of the message.

In this episode you will learn

  • Why Altman decided to wade into the “political sphere” with his preaching, and what US law really says about non-profit organizations talking about politics
  • What motivates the former attorney cum priest in his ministry of preaching and teaching
  • The slimy role James Martin, SJ, played in the backlash against Altman’s powerful homilies and talks
  • How the Democrat Party is explicitly against many of the non-negotiable teachings of the Faith
  • How the Catholic Church has slidden into such a state of confusion and lukewarmness 60 years after Vatican II ended
  • How buzz words like “tone” and  “divisive” are used against orthodox priests and seminarians
  • Why “silent majority” is usually a synonym for cowardice

#198: Comedy In a Cancel Culture—Tom Leopold

#198: Comedy In a Cancel Culture—Tom Leopold

Christoper Guest (Waiting for Guffman, This is Spinal Tap, Best In Show, A Mighty Wind) said, “When it comes to comedy, Tom Leopold has an extra gene. You may not know it, but he has probably made you laugh.” Harry Shearer (The Simpsons, NPR, This Is Spinal Tap) called him “a semi-precious stone in the crown of comedy,” appellations Leopold treasures.

Indeed, he may well be one of the most prolific and successful comedy writers ever, having written for sitcoms in the US and the UK, material for Bob Hope, Lucille Ball, Jonathan Winters, Michael McKean, Chris Guest, Chevy Chase, et al.

Raised Jewish, the natural raconteur was baptized and received into the Catholic Church at the Easter Vigil in 2011. The conservative-minded comedy writer and one-time actor has some fascinating insights into what we call the culture, especially important for the Covid-19 lockdown.

In this episode you will learn

  • Whether comedy is a skill you learn or must be born with
  • How his father’s storytelling tradition shaped young Tom’s imagination
  • What it’s like to meet, and write jokes for, your heroes
  • The time Vice President Mike Pence served him a coffee on Air Force Two en route to Cleveland where Pence was set to give a talk written by Leopold
  • The meaning of “comedy is tragedy plus time” and “death is easy, comedy is hard”
  • How Jews and Catholics share a love of story

When Things Are Bad, Do THIS

When Things Are Bad, Do THIS

In this video I want to strongly recommend something that is easy to say and hard to do.
It’s one of those recommendations that sound either impossible or just misguided, but extremely important as things in our lives and the world around us seem to get worse and worse.
It’s this:  praise and thank God for everything. All of it.
It’s easy to praise and thank God for good things, pleasurable things, happy things, stories of victory and healing, miracles and so on.
But when bad things start to happen, that’s crunch time.

There are many injustices and scandals:

  • Weak bishops
  • Bad priests
  • Good priests who get punished by weak bishops
  • Weaponized ambiguity from Pope Francis
  • Low-information Catholics who keep voting Democrat
  • Doctors and scientists who challenge the grand CDC/Fauci/Birx narrative are banned, deleted or disciplined
  • Out of control wildfires, natural disasters, and terrorist threats
  • Netflix with its new kiddie porn movie, “Cuties” (see Matt Walsh’s response below).

It’s a long list!

And of course you have your own sins and I have mine.

So how can I say that the best response is to praise and thank God for all of it?

Isn’t this giving the devil credit?

Praising God for calamities and evils like the ones I mentioned isn’t the same thing as being grateful for pain, or seeing God as a sadist.

It all comes down to trusting that God, our all-loving father both ordains amazing things to happen to us and permits some painful things to happen to us.

No matter what has happened to you and I, God has brought us to this moment. Nothing that has happened to us is a surprise to God. Every moment whether joyful or sorrowful is part of the mystery of God’s loving Providence.

His Son Jesus Christ doesn’t wave a magic wand and take our pain away.

He enters into it through the mystery of his cross, so that we can never say “God does not understand.”

#197: Was Karl Marx Possessed?—Dr. Paul Kengor

#197: Was Karl Marx Possessed?—Dr. Paul Kengor

We all know Karl Marx (1818—1883) taught devilish doctrines like communism, but is there any evidence he was possessed? Paul Kengor has amassed a substantial amount of historical and biographical evidence that this may have been the case.

In The Devil and Karl Marx, Kengor analyzes’ Marx’s own writings, his poetry, a demonic-style play, and examines the much-neglected unflattering (to say the least) behaviors and actions of the father of communism.

Kengor also mentions names of current Marxist influencers. An exceptionally detailed treatment of one of the main diseases our culture suffers from.

In this episode you will learn

  • The context of Marx’s life and writings
  • How his family suffered terribly, the death of two of his daughters in a suicide pact with both their husbands
  • The diabolical themes in his writings and the disturbing effect he had on people in his close circle
  • First and second-generation communists applied his violence-infected tracts and manifestos
  • How Archbishop Fulton J. Sheen brought two high profile American communists into the Church: Bella Dodd, and Louis Budenz
  • The names and organizations of current neo-Marxist thought leaders
