Nobody Was More Divisive Than Jesus
The recent “divisive” Open Letter in which the scholars accuse Pope Francis of being a heretic raises a question:
Was Jesus Christ divisive? If you answer no, you have some explaining to do because Jesus was a lean, green dividing machine: sheep from goats, Pharisees from humble publicans, Jews who accepted Him and those who had him killed, the saved and the damned, the wheat from tares. And so on.
The pontificate of Pope Francis provides many obstacles to accepting that Catholicism is true, by dividing Catholics not against the world, but against each other. Big difference. Big problem.
